One of the joys of archery is getting to spend a pleasant afternoon (or even the whole day) out in the open air. However, you do need to be aware of the risks of being exposed to the sun for that length of time.
The simple guidelines:
- Wear a hat
- Wear clothes that cover your skin
- Wear sunglasses with UV protection
- Use sunscreen of at least SPF 15
- Drink lots to avoid dehydration
even if it's a cloudy day.
Further details on keeping safe in the sun are available from the NHS website.
